Mike Ryan
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mike Ryan serves as BECU’s executive vice president and chief legal officer and general counsel.
Mike leads BECU’s corporate governance, legal and vendor management functions, and serves as a key stakeholder in strategic planning, incident response, governmental affairs and regulatory relations. He also provides legal counsel to BECU’s board of directors, audit committee and executive management team.
Prior to BECU, Mike was a partner at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP where he led the firm’s Business and Financial Transactions team. His specialties included mergers and acquisitions, corporate debt finance, corporate governance and commercial law, among other areas of focus. Before that, he was a corporate finance associate at Foley & Lardner LLP.
Beyond the office, Mike is dedicated to supporting his community. He was on the board of directors of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors for six years and has also served on the boards of Fora Health and Vivent Health. Mike holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors from Willamette University College of Law.
