Nathan Ramachandran
With 20 years of technology leadership and execution experience, Nathan Ramachandran serves as BECU’s executive vice president and chief technology officer (CTO).
As CTO of Washington’s largest credit union, Nathan is responsible for leading teams focused on technology operations, architecture, engineering and business support. He will also oversee BECU’s efforts toward modernizing its core banking platforms and delivering new innovative technologies to its more than 1.4 million members.
Prior to BECU, Nathan led Accenture’s Data and Applied Intelligence division for Financial Services West Market, where he helped companies with cloud, data and digital transformation. Before that, he held leadership positions at Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Throughout his career, Nathan has built, managed and transformed numerous banking and financial services systems, and has played an integral role in modernizing core technologies by building critical linkages from legacy to new functionalities.
Nathan holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Annamalai University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from the University of Madras. He also earned a Certified Cost and Management Accountant degree from Institute of Cost Accountants of India, an Advanced Software Engineering diploma from National Centre for Software Technology, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification.
