Werner Loots
With over 25 years of experience in financial institutions, consulting and business strategy, Werner Loots serves as BECU’s executive vice president and chief consumer and business solutions officer.
As chief consumer and business solutions officer of Washington’s largest credit union, Loots leads the teams accountable for creating and managing products and services across all BECU lines of business.
Prior to BECU, Loots was the executive vice president of Consumer Lending at U.S. Bank, where he led all product functions across mortgage, home equity and personal lending. Before that, he held leadership roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia’s largest financial institution, an AI start-up, Northwestern Mutual, McKinsey & Company and PayPal.
Loots holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
